This week has been once again one of those weeks where the days blurred together and my to-do list looked more like a novel. Therefore, I needed something quick, easy, and satisfying to share here on my blog—no complicated steps, no fancy ingredients, just pure comfort.
So, I opened my idea list (a humble text file of future recipe dreams) for something quick, easy, and—most importantly—satisfying. And, there it was: Carnivore Bacon and Egg Pan Pie. One pan, minimal effort, maximum reward. Yes, please.
After a quick cupboard excavation to find my oven-safe skillet, I measured, whisked, poured, and into the oven my creation went. Eighteen minutes later, I was staring at gloriously golden, cheesy, and bacony perfection.
Honestly, you simply cannot go wrong with bacon, eggs, cheese, and cream. It’s the holy quartet of comfort food, and this recipe puts them all together in one superb, no-fuss carnivore dish.
Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Make Carnivore Bacon and Egg Pan Pie
Cook 7 oz (200 g) of chopped bacon in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat…

…until crispy. No need to drain the fat—it’s flavorous and nutritious gold.

In a medium bowl, crack in 6 pastured eggs…

…pour in 1/4 cup (60 ml) of heavy cream…

…and sprinkle in 4 oz (115 g) of shredded cheese.

Season with unrefined sea salt to taste.

Whisk…

..until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and well combined. This is the rich, custardy base for your pan pie.

Take your skillet with the fried bacon.

Pour the egg mixture right over the bacon in the skillet.

No stirring—just let it settle naturally.

Slide the skillet into the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for 15—20 minutes…

…or until the pie is just set and the top has a gorgeous golden color.

Let the pie rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This helps it hold together and makes it easier to serve.

Slice and enjoy!

Yum!

Here is the recipe for you to enjoy:

Troubleshooting Tips
Even simple recipes can throw a curveball now and then. If your Carnivore Bacon and Egg Pan Pie doesn’t turn out quite as planned, here’s how to fix the most common issues.
Eggs turned rubbery – This usually means they were overbaked. Check the pie at 15 minutes and pull it out as soon as the center is just set.
Pie came out watery – Make sure your bacon is well-cooked and the fat is rendered before adding the egg mixture. Excess moisture from undercooked meat can cause sogginess.
Cheese burned on top – If your oven runs hot, tent the skillet loosely with foil for the last few minutes of baking.
Center didn’t set – Your oven temperature may be too low. Use an oven thermometer to verify it’s at 350°F (175°C), and bake a few minutes longer if needed. Alternatively, use a larger skillet next time.
Stuck to the skillet – Even with bacon fat, some skillets can stick. Lightly grease the pan before cooking the bacon to avoid this.
Too salty – Bacon and cheese already contain salt, so taste the egg mixture before adding extra. If your pie turned out too salty, mash it with a fork and fry in a skillet with some eggs and cream for a scrambled eggs-type creation.
Tips for Variations (Keto & Carnivore-Friendly)
Even though this Carnivore Bacon and Egg Pan Pie is already a winner as-is, there’s plenty of room to make it your own—without straying from keto or carnivore rules. Here are some easy tweaks to keep things exciting while staying true to the all-meat, low-carb spirit.
Carnivore Variations
Change up the cheese – Keep it full-fat and low in carbs: aged cheddar for sharpness, gruyère for nutty depth, or mozzarella for a milder, gooey finish.
Go all-meat – Swap some or all of the bacon for pancetta, sausage, or chopped leftover roast beef. For extra decadence, mix two or three meats together.
Egg yolk richness – Replace one or two whole eggs with extra yolks for a silkier, custard-like texture.
Fat boost – Bake your bacon in a spoonful of butter, ghee, or beef tallow for a richer mouthfeel and higher fat content—if your diet requires more fat, that is.
Cream swap – For a slightly different flavor, use crème fraîche or homemade mascarpone instead of heavy cream (still keto and carnivore-approved).
Make it portable – Pour the mixture into a silicone muffin pan for grab-and-go mini pies—same flavor, easier to pack.
Double the cheese crust – Sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking for a crispy, golden lid that’s irresistible.
Crunchy topping – Sprinkle crushed pork rinds over the top before baking for a tasty zero-carb crust.
Keto-Friendly Variations
Veggie boost – Add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, green bell pepper, or zucchini for extra flavor without overloading on carbs.
Umami punch – Add sautéed chopped onion and thinly sliced garlic for a flavorful umami punch.
Herb upgrade – Stir in finely chopped fresh parsley, chives, or thyme for a burst of freshness.
Spice it up – Sprinkle in smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, or a pinch of chili flakes for heat and flavor.
Creamy twist – Swap heavy cream for unsweetened additive-free coconut cream for a subtle, exotic variation.
Mediterranean flair – Add chopped olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and a sprinkle of dried oregano for a savory, low-carb twist.
Southwest style – Mix in diced green chiles, cumin, and a touch of chili powder for a Tex-Mex vibe.
Broccoli & cheddar – Stir in steamed broccoli florets and use sharp cheddar for a classic low-carb combo.

NICE! Saving for baking weather.
Sounds good 🙂
