It sounds wonderful! I really like the idea of Ceylon cinnamon - it's my favorite (around here we know it as Canela, because the cinnamon from Mexico is the real Ceylon variety). I also like the idea of orange peel. Thanks for a great idea!

Hi Susan, I'm pretty sure this chutney works well made with all cranberries - it would be just perfect for Thanksgiving. To give it more zing, you can add a tablespoon freshly-grated peel from organic orange if you want. Also some warm spices like Ceylon cinnamon or star anise would go great and bring some holiday feeling. How does that sound?

Hi Elviira, I'm wondering if maybe this could be done with all cranberries and still turn out well. The last time I ate currants was about 7 decades ago, so I don't really remember their flavor (I remember when it was because my grandmother had a currant bush in her back yard, and I would have been no more than 6 years old when we last visited that house). A cranberry chutney would be good with turkey at our Thanksgiving celebrations. Also, would this chutney freeze well? Thanks!
