My Dear, (one) - you must use the lowest setting on your stove top,(two) - you cannot stop stirring while continuing to scrape the edge and bottom, period, (three) - if that fails use a double boiler. For a make-shift one: Put a pot or bowl in a slightly larger pot with water in the bottom. The water, preferably, should not touch the bottom of the smaller pot/bowl; but even if it does, chances are this method will work better for you. Boil the water so that the bowl is heated by the steam then whisk and scrape just like before. Once the mixture is thickened, you can then place your smaller pot in a very large bowl filled with ice to quickly cool the mixture. You will succeed!

Thank you for your recipe! I made the recipe as is, only adding a tbls of Truvia brown sugar. I then made homemade whipped cream to serve it with. I thought it tasted like tapioca, which I really love tapioca, so I was happy:)
